लोगों की ऐ’ब-जोई के सिलसिले में मुरीदों को बताया कि अगर तुम्हारा कोई ऐ’ब ज़ाहिर करे तो ये देखो कि तुम में वो ऐ’ब है या नहीं।अगर है तो उस से बाज़ आओ, और ऐ’ब ज़ाहिर करने वाले से कहो तुम ने मुझ पर करम किया कि मेरा ऐ’ब मुझको बता दिया, और अगर तुम में ये ऐ’ब नहीं है तो दुआ’ करो कि इलाही उस ऐ’ब ज़ाहिर करने वाले को ऐ’ब-जोई से बजाए, और मुझको भी बद-कलामी से महफ़ूज़ रखे।
ज़िक्र से मुराद ख़ुदा-वंद तआ’ला की याद है। इसकी चार क़िस्में हैं: 1 ज़बान पर हो लेकिन दिल में न हो, 2 ज़बान और दिल दोनों में हो, मगर दिल किसी वक़्त उससे ग़ाफ़िल हो जाता हो, लेकिन ज़बान पर जारी हो, 3 ज़बान और दिल में बराबर हो, 4 दिल में हो और ज़बान ख़ामोश हो।
