मौलाना क़ुतुबुद्दीन काशानी देहली आए तो फ़रमाया कि हमीदुद्दीन के इ’श्क़ की वजह से देहली आया हूँ। एक रोज़ उन्होंने क़ाज़ी हमीदुद्दीन की तमाम तसानीफ़ मँगवा कर पढ़ीं और अपने हमराही उ’लमा से कहा कि यारो !जो कुछ हम ने और तुम ने पढ़ा है, वो सब इन रिसालों में मौजूद है, और जो कुछ नहीं पड़ा है वो इ’ल्म भी इन किताबों में मौज़ूद है।
Rome was not built in a day. Indian music today is a treasure that has grown over a period of time to which Hindus and Muslims have contributed largely in varying degrees. Music is strength, ecstasy, and joy; it is the universal language of mankind. In its magical hermitage, here in India, the locals and the aliens both lost their individuality and class consciousness. The symphony and melody rolled them into one. Indian music, like the sea, accepted all the rivers, and today in its trailing clouds of glory one can see the silver lining of a Tan Sen and Palusker as much as of Khusrau, Abdul Karim, and Bade Ghulam Ali.
हज़रत वारिस पाक ने फ़रमाया-
1- जो हमसे मोहब्बत करता है वो हमारा है।
2- हमारे हाँ मजूसी, ई’साई वग़ैरा सब मज़हब वाले बराबर हैं कोई बुरा नहीं।
3- हमारे हाँ तो मोहब्बत ही मोहब्बत है।
दरवेशों की हड्डियों में इ’श्क़-ए-इलाही के सबब बे-शुमार सुराख़ होते हैं।
एक सौत-ए-सर्मदी है जिस का इतना जोश है।
वर्ना हर ज़र्रा अज़ल से ता-अबद ख़ामोश है।।
